Change. As life becomes more demanding and stressful, more people are interested in making major changes to their lives, but actually making the big changes can be daunting.
After the first of the year I will be featuring a series of interviews with people who have changed their lives in major ways - changing careers, changing locations, changing attitudes. We will be discussing the challenges and the adventures they had along the way, and the techniques and tools they used to make their changes. We will look at the trade-offs they needed to make.
All of the interviewees were successful in their "old" lives, but wanted or needed to expand or change their focus to become more whole and/or less stressed. They got a new perspective on life and added more fun and nurturing to their environment. They all added meaning and satisfactions to their lives.
Most of these people had a phased approach to their change process. Many of them are still in process. They are all realistic about what is reasonable to expect of themselves and build that into the process.
I hope to get some lively conversations started with readers through this series of interviews, so keep coming back and participate.
